One of the products I think Powder does best is scarves. Not just super cosy scarves but luxurious satin scarves too which all come in beautiful different prints. If only you could see them in real life, the attention to detail that goes into these designs would make you want to buy one there and then. Sometimes details don't come through as much on a screen, which is why I am dedicating this blog to Powder scarves so you can really see them for all of their beauty.
We hope you love our Powder Prints just as much as we do! These are just a few of the styles we have at the moment. Head on over to our website to browse even more fabulous scarves, here.

A little bit about Big Metal...
James McGrath, founder of Big Metal, was first inspired to start making jewellery whilst living in Papua New Guinea 30 years ago and working with natural materials with the local artisan people.
When he returned to London after his travels, he set up a workshop in his mother´s garden shed where he taught himself to make jewellery out of metal.
He then progressed to setting up a stall in Portobello Market which had so much success that, one day, Jean-Paul Gaultier asked him to design the jewellery for a movie for which he was designing the clothes – this movie was the 5thElement which had and continues to have a huge impact on fashion, redefining what a futuristic aesthetic can be. We believe that aesthetic is sustainability.
That is when Big Metal London was born and now James and his team design everything in-house in London, following all the latest trends, where he also has a small workshop.
How are they sustainable?
Big Metal London is a sustainable fashion jewellery brand with a long history and a focus on the future – they believe in the importance of sustainability. In order to meet the needs of the present without compromising those of future generations.
The latest collection by Big Metal is 22k Gold/Silver plated brass which has been made from over 50% recycled leftovers. And at least 20% of other materials are also recycled. All the materials Big Metal use when making jewellery are ethically sourced and compliant with the REACH standard. Every piece is Nickel, Lead and Cadmium Free, and the stud posts are made from surgical steel. They carefully select and work only with best quality components. Plated jewellery has the same quality as fine jewellery, however with the time, the plated layer will wear off. For this reason, the jewellery has a layer of clear resin to seal and prolong its durability.
Big Metal also make their resin earrings by upcycling the leftover products from sunglasses frames. They collect them, design beautiful, vibrant patterns and give them a new life in the form of jewellery.
Here is a link to the new collection, make sure you check it out if you are looking for trendy, environmentally conscious jewellery that is still affordable. Shop here.
Here are some of our favourite styles from their collection...

In her intimate memoir, she vividly recounts falling in love, wrestling with self-sabotage, finding a job, throwing a socially disastrous Rod-Stewart themed house party, getting drunk, getting dumped, realising that Ivan from the corner shop is the only man you've ever been able to rely on, and finding that that your mates are always there at the end of every messy night out.
It's a book about bad dates, good friends and - above all else - about recognising that you and you alone are enough.
BBC have even adapted the best selling memoir into a tv series, its THAT good.
2. Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover
A troubled young mother yearns for a shot at redemption in this heart-breaking yet hopeful story from #1 New York Times bestselling author
3. I am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes
A notorious Syrian biotech expert found eyeless in a Damascus junkyard. Smouldering human remains on a remote mountainside in Afghanistan. A flawless plot to commit an appalling crime against humanity. One path links them all, and only one man can make the journey.
You will not be able to put this book down, this was one of the best books I have ever read. Perhaps a bit heavy for a beach day but personally I love nothing more than a gripping thriller.
4. Mademoiselle Revolution by Zoe Sivak
In the mood for a lil historical fiction? Then you'll wanna check out Zoe Sivak's debut, which tells the story of Sylvie, a privileged heiress from Haiti who must flee to Paris in the midst of the Haitian Revolution. There Sylvie becomes fascinated with that country's own revolution—as well as its leader, Maximilien Robespierre—and she must decide which side of history she really wants to be on.
5. The Last White Man by Mohsin Hamid
Last but not least...In Mohsin Hamid's latest novel, a world is introduced where people who were once white find that their skin has turned brown overnight, and as you can probably guess, society doesn't know how to handle this shifting dynamic. Is it a fun and flirty beach read? Lol, no. But it's definitely an important one.
Scarves are the wardrobe essential that can add interest to neutral outfits, give jeans and t-shirts a stylish twist or simply add a light layer to protect you from the temperamental British weather this season.
At Taylor & Jackson we believe a scarf is the perfect accessory for Spring and Summer, if like us, you struggle to find new and exciting ways to style a scarf, we’ve got you covered in this post! We’ll be sharing three D.I.Y. no sewing required tutorials for scarf tying (with step-by-step pictures).
The Kimono Jacket
This style is extremely versatile, it can be used as a chic and feminine touch to any basic outfit or as a beach cover-up to protect your shoulders from the sun whilst on holiday.
The Handbag Handle Wrap
This way of tying your scarf is perfect for making your Winter handbags Spring/Summer ready in moments. It’s a fun and simple way of adding colour to any outfit and if the temperature suddenly drops, you’ll have a scarf on hand without using any much-needed bag space!
Grab your favourite handbag! (we’re using the Lady Nada Medium Tote).
We recommend styling a satin scarf for this option (we chose our Satin Paisley Print Scarf).
Check the scarf for any labels.
Fold two of the scarf’s edges into the centre (hiding any labels).
Roll into a straight line.
Tie your scarf to one end of the bag handle.
Continually wrap the scarf around the handle until you reach the other side.
Secure it by tying.
Arrange the ends of the scarf to match (like the photo).
The Summer Shawl Wrap
Although you may associate a shawl with Mums at weddings, they’re back and chicer than ever and can be viewed in street style photography from every fashion week this season. Before splashing out on a designer shawl, try the look at home for yourself.
Grab a large scarf (a patterned scarf makes this look extra unique, we went with the Animal Printed Scarf in hare print for this style)
Drape the scarf around your shoulders.
Grab both ends of the scarf.
Tie them together in a half knot.
Pull the middle of the scarf fabric down to cover the ends.
