Unless you live on the moon you can’t possibly have missed the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marriage mania, which began when they announced their engagement. We’re delighted here at Taylor and Jackson. We love a good wedding, especially a royal one, and this one’s set to be absolutely stunning - a real-life, fairytale, happy ending in a castle, complete with a handsome prince. Sigh.
Everyone’s watching Meghan’s sense of style and taste, trying to predict how her forthcoming royal status will impact on her choice of wedding dress. In fact, already comparisons to Kate Middleton’s wedding dress (or the Duchess of Cambridge, as she should be known) are flying about the media. But, as we at Taylor and Jackson are bag connoisseurs, we’ve decided to mark her forthcoming meteoric rise - from actress to HRH - one bag at a time.
Meghan’s suit bag
Meghan the actress, is a practical sort when it comes to her everyday bags. For dress-down days she tends towards huge totes, with enough room for dog leads, scripts and enormous diamond rings! But, for when she’s dressed a little smarter, she’s rather fond of a classic bowling bag.
Suits you Madam Markle… or should that be Her Royal Thighness?
For this look try our Minerva bowling bag in red.
Meghan’s a diamond in white
Meghan the royal fiancée, truly ‘rocks’ white… and we should think so too with that huge white rock on her finger! She chose white for the royal engagement announcement and wears white in everyday life and on the red carpet, as pictured here with a clutch bag to match. And just as there are three C’s for diamonds, it’s likewise for Meghan who’s Clever, Classy and Chic.
Stand out in white for red carpet ‘engagements’

Meghan’s favourite brown leather bag
We said it above, and here’s the proof. Meghan, the newly married country lady, will, we predict, continue with her love of brown leather and practical totes that fit everything from riding crops to a copy of Horse and Hound.
Totes-practical as everything fits inside .

Humanitarian on the move
Long before Harry met Meghan she was involved with various humanitarian charities and organisations. But Meghan the duchess can’t been seen struggling with this mismatched and awkward travel bags. She’ll definitely need something more practical, yet uber-stylish – like a backpack, which will allow her to get on with her serious work unimpeded.
We think Megan would love the new Breena Backpack by Barada
Fit for her Royal Highness
HRH Meghan Duchess of Glamour (has quite the ring to it, don’t you think?) will have even more sophisticated evenings out than she’s used to on the red carpet in Tinsel Town. As glam as a clutch is, when it comes to shaking dignitaries hands she’ll need a cute and classy bowling bag – no stuffed clutches under armpits for our Meghan.

We predict Meghan Markle will no longer clutch a clutch bag when she’s HRH
So, you watch this space and see if, when it comes to bags, we’ve got Meghan’s rise charted correctly. We’re sure we’ve got it literally, in the bag.
