Are you going to be spending long, sunny days on the mountains this Easter? If so, we’ve got you covered with our ski trip essentials list! Save yourself from leaving your ski break packing until the last minute surrounded by mountains of gloves, socks and thermals.
The golden rule for ski trip packing is to be prepared; plan all your outfits whilst packing, rather than packing a collection of random items. Hope for the best weather, but prepare for the worst - even at Easter layers will be essential.
When packing your suitcase roll items, don't fold. This will save plenty of much needed space and also stops your clothes from creasing.
Now on to the lists of ski trip necessities,
Skiing equipment: Ski boots, ski, poles, ski lock, helmet and for those planning to ski off-piste; a transceiver, probe & shovel!
Skiing attire: Waterproof ski jacket, waterproof ski trousers or salopettes, a pair of waterproof, insulated and breathable ski gloves, a backpack, goggles, helmet, thermal tops/base layers, thermal bottoms, fleeces (mid layers), ski socks and finally sunglasses; we understand you might not ski in these, but they’ll be nice to put on when you stop for a break to admire the incredible views. The Bardot sunglasses are the most popular among our skiing customers!
We also recommend you take a sports bra and our favourite is the Sportjock Bra!
On the mountain essentials: A water bottle, plenty of high carb snacks, sun cream and an SPF lip balm and a small rucksack for carrying the rest of this list in and the layers you’ll take off and put back on throughout the day.
Clothes for around the resort: Jeans/long trousers, t-shirts or long sleeve tops, a thick jumper or fleece, underwear including socks, comfy trousers/jogging bottoms, slippers, a pair of thinner gloves or mittens, warm woolly hat, a scarf and shoes/boots with a good grip.
